Long Queues As Migrants Leave Calais Jungle Camp

Migrants from the Calais Jungle Camp are queuing to register with the authorities, as work continues to clear the Camp.

Officials say the process is going smoothly after some minor clashes overnight – there’s a large police presence at the site and monitoring the queue.

The first buses carrying some of the 6-and-a-half-thousand migrants have begun to leave the Camp, bound for accommodation centres scattered across France.

Bulldozers will move in tomorrow and and by the end of the week the entire camp will have been emptied and destroyed.
